About the Journal

Kediri Journal of Journalism and Digital Media is a peer-reviewed academic journal that provides a scholarly platform for exploring journalism, digital media, communication, and media practices in contemporary society. The journal welcomes theoretical, empirical, methodological, and applied research that critically examines the evolving relationships among media, communication, technology, language, culture, and creative practices.

The journal contributes to contemporary academic debates through interdisciplinary research on journalism; digital media; language, communication, and culture; media studies; creative arts and writing; social media studies; film and cinema studies; advertising and strategic communication; and artificial intelligence and communication. It seeks to advance critical understanding of changing media environments, communication practices, technological developments, and creative expressions through diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives.

Interdisciplinary scholarship examining media and communication in relation to social, cultural, political, economic, technological, creative, and ethical dimensions is encouraged for publication. It particularly welcomes research addressing emerging developments and diverse contexts of journalism, digital media, communication, and creative media practices at the local, national, regional, and global levels. 

Original scholarly works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere are accepted. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. Beginning with Volume 4, Issue 2, all articles published in Kediri Journal of Journalism and Digital Media are required to be written and published entirely in English. This policy is intended to enhance the journal's international visibility and facilitate broader scholarly communication and dissemination.

Kediri Journal of Journalism and Digital Media has been accredited [Rank 3/Sinta 3] by The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia as an academic journal [SK Dirjen DIKTI 355/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026]
